Title: Statistician – Process Characterization (DOE)
Duration: 12+ months Contract
Location: Rahway, NJ
Pay rate: $48.22/hr.

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Statistician to support process characterization projects through study design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation. This hands-on, project-facing role involves close collaboration with Process Scientists and Engineers to design experiments, analyze results, and provide actionable insights using advanced statistical methodologies and in-house JMP tools.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop study designs (DOE), perform statistical analyses, and generate reports using in-house JMP tools in a fast-paced, critical path environment.
• Participate in process characterization teams to understand project objectives and design effective experiments in collaboration with Process Scientists/Engineers.
• Conduct joint discussions with technical teams to evaluate constraints and determine optimal study design and execution strategies.
• Provide statistical support for data interpretation and ensure accurate documentation of experimental findings.
• Collaborate with Process Scientists/Engineers to finalize and deliver comprehensive study reports.
Qualifications
• Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related discipline (e.g., Chemical or Industrial Engineering) with a minimum of 2 years of experience, or Ph.D. with at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Proven experience applying Design of Experiments (DOE) to real-world process development challenges.
• Strong working knowledge of statistical methodologies, data analysis, and experimental design principles.
• Hands-on experience with JMP software; working knowledge of other tools such as Minitab is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both oral and written).
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Experience working in the biopharma, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry (minimum 2 years of relevant exposure or internship experience preferred).
