Role Overview
β’ Position: Math and Statistics Subject-Matter Expert (SME) β Contract, Remote
β’ Commitment: ~40hrs/week, minimum availability of ~20 hrs/week
β’ Duration: Initial commitment of 18 weeks, with potential to extend
β’ Join a leading AI labβs GenAI team to build foundational AI models. Elevate AI training data quality with your Math and Statistics expertise.
Responsibilities
β’ Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance.
β’ Create and maintain precise annotation standards for your domain specialty.
β’ Develop guidelines and rubrics to assess Math reasoning.
β’ Design challenging Math tasks and write accurate solutions.
β’ Evaluate Math tasks and solutions, providing clear feedback.
β’ Collaborate with other SMEs to ensure consistency and accuracy in training data.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications
β’ Location: Currently living in the US
β’ Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Mathematics or Industry-recognized credentials like IMO/Putnam medalists
β’ Experience: 3+ years in a math-centered role at a reputable institution
β’ Domain expertise in one or more areas: Foundations, Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Probability and Statistics, Number Theory, Topology
Engagement Details
β’ Compensation: $110 - $130 per hour
β’ Schedule: Flexible, remote work
β’ Commitment: ~40hrs/week, minimum availability of ~20 hrs/week
β’ Duration: Initial 18 weeks, potential to extend
β’ Collaboration: Join calibration calls with the clientβs team 2-5x per week
