Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Stratus Developer with 5–12 years of experience for a full-time onsite opportunity in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in C or C++, in-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix internals, and hands-on experience with the Stratus platform or VOS operating system. A background in banking, cards processing, or payment systems (e.g., VISA, Mastercard) is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain high-performance applications on the Stratus/VOS platform.
• Write robust, efficient code using C or C++ for multi-threaded systems.
• Work with Linux/Unix internals, including sockets, IPCs, and other low-level interfaces.
• Implement and utilize Design Patterns to solve complex architectural challenges.
• Interact with SQL/Oracle/NoSQL databases for transaction processing and data retrieval.
• Collaborate with onshore/offshore teams for troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Participate in version control, code reviews, and agile ceremonies.
• Support payment processing functionality, including interfaces with VISA, Mastercard, and other payment brands.
Required Skills:
• 5–12 years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Proficiency in C or C++ programming.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix internals, multi-threading, sockets, and IPCs.
• Solid understanding of Design Patterns.
• Working experience with Stratus Platform / VOS operating system.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (SQL, Oracle, NoSQL).
• Prior experience or familiarity with payment systems, cards processing, or banking applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
