Supply Chain Planner

Job Title: Supply Chain Planner 3 Location: Fully Remote, candidates must work standard PST business hours with some flexibility in their schedules to have meetings with global teams, primarily in India. Contract on W2 Top IT Firm Duration: 18 months Typical Day in the Role • Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is managing supply chain planning for the overall cloud business. • Key projects: This role will contribute to managing day to day supply changes and powerBI automations. o Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of various activities day to day, a large aspect of the role will be managing supply changes and creating powerBI automations, and will occasionally meet with various teams to discuss their actions and keep everyone up to date. Most of their time will be spent heads down. Candidate Requirements • Years of Experience Required: 5+ years of supply planning experience, ideally in Tech Hardware supply chain. • Degrees or certifications required: A bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field is required to be eligible for this role. • Disqualifiers: Candidates that do not have significant experience with PowerBI, SQL, and advanced Excel experience will not be a good fit for the role. The team needs someone that can hit the ground running, and will not be able to train someone up on these tools during the contract. • Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain significant previous experience working in supply planning especially in tech supply chain and has a MS Power BI data analyst Certificate. The ideal candidate also possess great business acumen, and is able to think and plan strategically. Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 5+ years of supply planning experience, ideally in Tech Hardware supply chain o Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on their ability to meet deadlines on time and solve data related issues via automation on time and with good quality. Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience 1. Minimum 5 years experience with supply chain/planning experience, preferably in tech. 1. Minimum 5 years experience creating dashboards in PowerBI, as well as some experience with SQL, SAP IBP, & Excel. 1. Minimum 5 years experience with summarizing complex concepts to engage with broader audiences, and strong analytical skills and knowledge in root cause analysis/problem solving and the ability to implement and drive corrective actions and efficiencies in a matrix environment Hard Skills Assessments • Expected Dates that Hard Skills Assessments will be scheduled: ASAP • Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include 2 rounds, the candidate will meet with the sponsor and one more person. • Required Candidate Preparation: Candidates should be prepared to answer questions focused on their supply chain skillset, business acumen, the work they’ve done managing SAP & building PowerBI dashboards, etc. during the assessment. Summary: Supply Planning Execution • Manage end-to-end supply planning processes, including demand-supply alignment, forecast validation, and supportability analysis. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate data flow between SAP IBP and ISP dashboards. • Monitor inventory health, PO coverage, and lead-time logic to maintain planning accuracy. Power BI Development • Design and build interactive dashboards and reports for supply planning metrics (e.g., forecast accuracy, buffer health, rack supportability). • Implement governance best practices for Power BI workspaces, roles, and data security. • Optimize dashboards for usability and performance, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. Data Integration & Analysis Connect multiple data sources into Power BI for consolidated views. Develop custom visuals and advanced analytics to support decision-making. Ensure data accuracy and consistency across planning and reporting platforms. Skills: • Skills: • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in Power BI (including DAX, data modeling, and dashboard design). • Experience with SAP IBP or similar planning tools. • Familiarity with governance frameworks for BI tools (workspace roles, security, compliance). • Previous experience with computer applications, such as MS Word and Excel. Education/Experience: • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field • 5+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience • Strong analytical skills and knowledge in root cause analysis/problem solving and the ability to implement and drive corrective actions and efficiencies in a matrix environment Please let me know if this is something you would love to do, and help me with your updated resume.
