πΉ Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Synon Developer with strong experience in AS400 (iSeries) technologies to design, develop, and maintain business applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Synon (CA 2E / Cool:2E), RPG/RPGLE, CL programs, and DB2/400. You will work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to deliver reliable and scalable software solutions.
πΉ Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Synon/2E (Cool:2E) on the AS400 platform.
β’ Write and enhance programs using RPG, RPGLE, CLLE, and SQL on IBM i (AS400/iSeries).
β’ Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
β’ Work with DB2/400 to design and manage database objects (tables, views, indexes).
β’ Debug and troubleshoot production issues in a timely manner.
β’ Participate in code reviews, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
β’ Create and maintain documentation for programs and systems.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integrations and business continuity

πΉ Required Skills & Qualifications:
β’ 4+ years of experience with Synon/2E (CA 2E / Cool:2E).
β’ Strong hands-on experience in RPG, RPGLE, CLP, CLLE.
β’ Solid understanding of DB2/400 database design and SQL.
β’ Proficient in analyzing, debugging, and resolving AS400 system and application issues.
β’ Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
β’ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
