About the Role
We are seeking a System Integration Contractor to join our system test group. This team plays a critical role in ensuring our products are thoroughly tested and verified before regulatory submission and commercial launch. In this hands-on role, you will work with cross-functional product development teams to execute manual and automated testing, develop and run test scripts, and document results in detailed integration reports. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment and has a strong background in system testing, Python scripting, and software-hardware integration.
Responsibilities
• Perform system integration and verification testing for new medical devices
• Develop test scripts and methods using Python
• Execute manual, integration, and automated testing protocols
• Document and report test results in formal integration test reports
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to identify and resolve defects
• Ensure all testing aligns with product requirements and regulatory standards
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of relevant industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
• OR 6–10 years of experience in software or medical device testing without a degree
• Proficiency in Python development
• Experience with JIRA for defect tracking and documentation
• Ability to determine test acceptance criteria from software requirements
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Competency with computer systems and technical documentation
• Some lab or diagnostics experience preferred
Preferred Skills
• 5+ years of industry experience in testing or integration roles
• Experience in regulated industries (medical devices, automotive, defense, etc.)
• Familiarity with Appium and Selenium for automation testing
• Experience with firmware/software integration
• Knowledge of hardware testing tools such as oscilloscopes and DAQ systems
• Background in electromechanical or implantable medical devices
• Ability to develop and execute test plans, protocols, and ensure comprehensive test coverage
Pay range and compensation package
Pay Rate: $40/hour
