Role description
Position Title: Systems Integration Engineer Location: Richmond, VA Clearance Requirements: None Position Status: Full Time Pay Rate: 90K to 100K/Annum + benefits Position Description: Seneca Resources is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Systems Integration Engineer to support the design, maintenance, and operation of a secure, enterprise-wide integration architecture. This role is critical to enabling seamless data exchange between healthcare systems, applications, devices, and external cloud platforms. Youโ€™ll work at the intersection of healthcare IT, data interoperability, and systems engineering, supporting both internal operations and external partner integrations. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and is passionate about improving healthcare data workflows. Responsibilities: Operations & Support Monitor integration performance via dashboards and error queues Troubleshoot and resolve system integration issues Analyze vendor upgrades and service bulletins; assess impact and implement changes Maintain integration CMDB inventory and technical documentation Update integration connections and manage public/private key infrastructure Participate in on-call rotation (after hours/weekends/holidays) Manage incident and service request tickets across multiple queues Architecture & Engineering Gather and document integration business and functional requirements Perform systems analysis and design using tools like Visio Develop integration architecture diagrams, data mapping specifications, and process flow documentation Engineer translation tables and compliance filters Define and execute integration test scenarios Required Skills/Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field Minimum 3 years of experience in systems integration, preferably in healthcare IT (EPIC experience highly preferred) Strong understanding of data exchange standards (HL7, FHIR), integration engines, and EHR systems Experience with requirements analysis, data mapping, and integration troubleshooting Proficiency in tools like Visio, ServiceNow, and integration monitoring platforms Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Preferred Attributes: Strong accountability and initiative Active listening and customer service orientation Attention to detail and analytical mindset Adaptability to frequent change and high-pressure situations Experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders About Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firmโ€”we are a trusted career partner.
