Role description
Clearance: (MUST HAVE )
• Candidates must have an active secret clearance to be considered for this role.
Description:
• Develops new and/or integrates existing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models and command and control models. Develops software that simulates behavior of users and systems. Develops, integrates and uses graphical user interfaces and visualization tools. Models’ operational environments, performs trade studies via computer simulation and provides decision support for alternative architectures. Performs operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis. May build and design training models.
Background/Need:
• The Integrated Missile Defense Technology Group supports the Missile Defense Agency in the development, deployment, testing, and enhancement of the nation’s missile defense system. This system is currently being developed, to defend the United States, deployed forces, and allies from missile attacks. This group performs detailed system and component engineering, flight and ground test analysis, and advanced capability development in collaboration with the contractors and government program offices that are building the missile defense elements and components. The group has a need for a Systems Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer to support the analysis of future system requirements. The engineer will manage, develop, update and run system models and simulation tools to evaluate missile defense system performance and support algorithm development.
Required Skills:
• The candidate must have 5 year(s) of experience using MATLAB.
• 5 years of experience with Python.
• 5 years’ experience in modeling and simulation and 8 years of software development experience.
• Candidates must also have 3 years’ experience using version control software (GIT, SVN).
• Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems 3 years.
• Ability to work well independently as well as with a team.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
Education:
• MS degree in Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or other STEM field. Plus 8 years’ experience
Skills Preferred:
• Experience or background in RF analysis is highly desired.
• Standard signal processing techniques (Fourier transforms, filters, etc.) is desired.
Other:
• Work location: Hybrid - Individual works from home or off-site for a portion of their schedule and within a routinely commutable distance from the Lexington facility. Estimated to be 80% onsite, 20% from home.
Interview Process:
• Zoom interview w/HM and technical team.
Travel:
• Possible travel for field tests.
