Tableau Data Analyst & Developer • Contract Length: TBC • $55-$63 Per Hour W2 • Hybrid – 2/3 days in Boston This freelance opportunity stands out for its impact. The Company: They are a large, well established research organisation operating within a federally funded and grant driven setting. Data plays a critical role in reporting, transparency, and programme oversight across multiple stakeholders. The culture values independence, clarity, and practical problem solving. The Role and Deliverables: • Design, build, and maintain Tableau dashboards for financial, operational, and programme reporting • Work directly with ERP sourced financial data and related operational systems • Write SQL to extract, join, validate, and structure data for reporting purposes • Translate loosely defined requirements into clear, usable dashboards • Partner with scientific and administrative stakeholders to iterate on reporting needs • Improve existing dashboards to enhance clarity, usability, and consistency Your Skills & Experience: • Strong experience designing end to end Tableau dashboards for business or operational reporting • Solid SQL capability, including shaping and validating imperfect or unstructured data • Experience working with PeopleSoft or a comparable ERP or financial system • Background in a federal, university, or grant funded research environment • Comfortable working independently and engaging with non-technical stakeholders
