Role description
Technical Business Analyst | Technology Transformation Programme
This is a high-impact Technical Business Analyst / Systems Analyst role sitting at the centre of a major technology transformation programme, modernising critical business platforms, processes, and data across the organisation.
Working closely with the CTO, Delivery Manager, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in delivering a large-scale migration from an on-premise platform to a modern cloud-based environment, alongside the introduction of new product features and capabilities.
This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable discussing business requirements and getting into the detail of systems behaviour, data flows, integrations, and technical design. You’ll operate across both onshore and offshore teams, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment across a complex, distributed delivery model.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyse and document business and technical requirements across multiple workstreams within a large-scale transformation programme.
• Work closely with engineering, architecture, and data teams to define system behaviour, functional specifications, and integration requirements.
• Map and analyse end-to-end system flows, including legacy on-premise platforms and target cloud-based solutions.
• Support detailed analysis of data structures, data flows, and data migration requirements, including mapping, transformation rules, and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with technical teams on API integrations, system interfaces, and cross-platform dependencies.
• Translate complex business needs into clear, structured technical specifications and user stories suitable for engineering delivery.
• Support solution design discussions, ensuring requirements are technically feasible, scalable, and aligned to architecture principles.
• Work across onshore and offshore delivery teams, ensuring requirements are understood consistently across distributed squads.
• Support testing phases including system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring full traceability back to requirements.
• Identify and manage dependencies, risks, assumptions, and data issues across multiple integrated systems.
• Contribute to cutover planning and migration activities, ensuring smooth transition from legacy platforms to target state.
• Engage with vendors and third-party suppliers to ensure technical alignment and delivery of integrated components.
Person Requirements
• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Systems Analyst within complex technology transformation programmes.
• Strong experience working on platform migrations, particularly from on-premise to cloud or modern enterprise platforms.
• Solid understanding of system architecture, data flows, integrations, and application interfaces.
• Experience working with APIs, system integration, and multi-platform environments.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications, functional designs, and system requirements documentation.
• Strong experience supporting data migration, mapping, validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Experience working closely with engineers, architects, and offshore development teams.
• Comfortable operating in complex environments with multiple systems, dependencies, and workstreams.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interrogate systems and understand how data and processes flow end-to-end.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience within CRM, enterprise platforms, or customer technology ecosystems would be advantageous.
Next Steps
We’re looking for someone who can bring strong technical analysis capability, structure complex system environments, and help ensure successful delivery of a major enterprise transformation programme.
Finer Details
• Shortlisting to take place w/c 22nd June with a quick turnaround expected
• Must be available to start no later than Monday 6th July
• IR35 Status: Outside
• Rate: £450 per day, depending on experience
