Role description
CEIs client is a leader in health insurance who has been named one of Forbes best places to work is adding a Technical Business Analyst to their team in Downtown Philadelphia who is working on Data Warehousing and other enterprise data migration projects.
β’ 6 month contract to hire position
β’ Hybrid role working 3 days per week
β’ $60-65 / HR + Benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401k).
Responsibilities:
β’ Perform Source to Target Data Mapping for customer data integrations.
β’ Examine structure, types, quality, and provide target data analysis, field mapping, and data transformation rules for data conversions.
β’ Determines business requirements by working with business clients and recommends appropriate business system applications.
β’ Recommends systems criteria and project scope; Identifies potential problems, performs analysis and implements system enhancements, modifications and upgrades.
β’ Plans and consults with business client on data reporting and trending reports.
β’ Oversees the design and development of user system documentation.
β’ Primary contact to define business system requirements and functional requirements documents.
β’ Performs investigation, evaluation and documentation of system design findings.
β’ Tracks systems performance and reviews problem logs.
β’ Evaluates and analyzes coded data elements and recommends changes needed.
β’ Assures that users understand business system functions.
β’ Performs System testing and assists in User Acceptance Testing.
β’ Works with appropriate training departments to assure technical information is accurately presented.
β’ Mentors Junior resources in the team.
Position Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science or Mathematics or Business Administration or equivalent work experience; Masterβs in Business Administration is a plus.
β’ A minimum of six yearsβ experience in working with business technology solutions.
β’ Strong data analytical and problem-solving skills.
β’ Experience in Source to Target mapping.
β’ Data Warehouse experience is highly preferred.
β’ Working knowledge of at least one database product (Teradata, DB2, Oracle, or other).
β’ Experience in writing SQL (Structured Query Language) statements.
β’ Understanding of data integration and ETL methodologies.
β’ Exposure to at least one Health Care business area, such as Actuarial, Finance, Underwriting, Claims Processing, Enrollment, or Provider preferred.
β’ Excellent oral and written communication skills. Effective facilitation and presentation skills necessary to demonstrate business systems solutions in a clear and concise manner.
β’ Demonstrated ability to define business systems solutions, make decisions, identify problems, coordinate resources and implement changes.
β’ Excellent teamwork.
β’ Excellent troubleshooting skills.
β’ Ability to learn new or existing systems quickly.
β’ Ability to work independently on multiple projects.
β’ Accountable for adherence to program and project management standards.
