We’re seeking a Technical Business Systems Analyst 2 to support our client’s digital initiatives across the organization. This role bridges business needs and technical execution, translating requirements into actionable user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and supporting Agile delivery teams in building high‑value solutions.

Location: Peoria, IL
Contract: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Role Summary:
As a Technical Business Systems Analyst, you will collaborate with business requestors, product teams, and engineering groups to gather requirements, analyze technical needs, and ensure digital product features deliver maximum value. You’ll help shape user stories, define dependencies, and participate throughout the full Agile lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Translate requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
• Create documentation of business needs, product vision, and backlog priorities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand technical problems and propose solutions.
• Support product backlog creation, refinement, and prioritization based on business value.
• Communicate backlog priorities clearly to Agile team members.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies: Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Demos, and Retrospectives.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams.
• Inspect deliverables each Sprint and accept/reject based on criteria.
• Serve as customer advocate and represent user needs to the team.
• Support small‑to‑moderate complexity projects and contribute to larger, high‑value initiatives.
• Champion Agile values and help strengthen Agile maturity within the organization.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Systems Analyst.
Required Technical Skills:
• 2+ years of experience managing technical requirements.
• 2+ years of experience working in Agile methodology environments.
Preferred Skills:
• Agile certifications (Scrum, SAFe, Product Owner, etc.).
• Experience with Agile tools: Azure DevOps, JIRA, Mingle, Rally, Aha.
• Experience working with onshore/offshore delivery models.
• Knowledge of SDLC processes and documentation standards.
• Background in Information Technology or systems analysis.
• Familiarity with IoT solutions (telematics devices, digital subscriptions, invoicing, fleet monitoring tools).
• Strong accountability, teamwork, and decision‑making abilities.
• Understanding of Client’s internal policies, structure, and operating environment.
