Role description
Length: On-going contract - 90 days probation period, but expect this role to last for years if the right fit Location: Dallas, TX 75205 Onsite/Remote – 3 days onsite; 2 days remote. Interview/start: 3 steps Specialty- DB/BA REQUIREMENTS β€’ 6+ years of technical business analyst experience β€’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field β€’ Strong SQL skills for querying and data analysis β€’ Understanding of core data warehouse concepts and logical data modeling- will not be building design or data pipelines but must understand how to talk about it β€’ Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams on data pipeline design β€’ Familiarity with Azure services (ADF, Azure SQL, Databricks preferred but not required) β€’ Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills β€’ MUST have some financial experience- specifically with Real Estate or Mortgages, Lending, credit etc... Technical Business Analyst This role is the functional counterpart to the Data Engineer Key Responsibilities β€’ Gather and translate business requirements into clear specs for data engineers and reporting teams β€’ Write and optimize SQL queries to support reporting and data analysis needs β€’ Understand data modeling and how is relates to business. will not be building data pipelines but must have an understanding of how it works. β€’ Collaborate with data engineers to ensure pipeline and ETL designs meet functional needs β€’ Analyze large datasets to identify trends and support decision-making β€’ Contribute to Azure-based projects involving ADF, Azure SQL Server, and Databricks β€’ Maintain documentation for requirements, workflows, and data models β€’ Apply knowledge of financial data structures and reporting standards (if applicable)
