Technical Lead | £500 - £600 We're working with a leading international consultancy driving large-scale digital transformation for high-profile public sector and enterprise clients on this exciting opportunity. This is a high-impact role for a battle-tested Technical Lead to spearhead complex delivery within a secure AWS environment. You will be the architectural North Star for your team, blending deep hands-on expertise in NodeJS and Java/Scala with the strategic vision required to navigate intricate cloud ecosystems and sophisticated DevOps pipelines. The Role • Provide technical leadership and high-level architectural direction across a diverse stack including TypeScript, NodeJS, and Java / Scala. • Lead the design and deployment of scalable serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, SQS, S3, and Cloudwatch. • Act as a mentor and coach to engineering squads, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. • Drive release preparation and delivery excellence, ensuring all code meets rigorous security and performance standards. • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders using Jira, Slack, and Figma to bridge the gap between complex technical requirements and business goals. What You'll Need • Active UK Security Clearance (SC) is mandatory due to the nature of the project work. • Proven experience in a Technical Lead or Principal Engineer capacity with a heavy focus on mentoring and coaching. • Deep technical mastery of AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. • Robust backend experience across both TypeScript/NodeJS and JVM languages (Java or Scala) alongside PostgreSQL. • A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with experience managing complex release cycles in an agile environment.
