Technical Lead / CTO for Privacy Tech Startup Company Overview MyDataSearch Ltd. is an early-stage UK startup building MyDataSearch.com, a platform that helps users manage and protect their personal data with automated requests, AI risk scoring, and privacy tools. We’re leveraging no-code/low-code tools to rapidly launch our MVP and are currently preparing for seed funding. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping a mission-driven privacy tech product. Job Type Freelance part-time (10–20 hours/week), with potential to evolve into a full-time leadership role. Remote. Responsibilities • Build MVP using no-code tools: Bubble for UI/dashboards (e.g., Data Health Score, Consent Tracker with unsubscribe button), Make for automations (DSR workflows, AI verification/escalations), Airtable for logs/tracking. • Integrate AI/privacy features: MonkeyLearn for bias/NLP, PETs (differential privacy), HIBP for breach alerts (72-hour notifies), Equifax-like risks (4 phases). • Ensure security and compliance: AES-256/TLS 1.3 encryption, IAM/2FA (Auth0), OWASP ZAP audits, GuardDuty, quantum-prep and hallucination monitoring. • Test and optimize: Beta testing, LoadForge for scalability, mobile responsiveness, in-app surveys (Typeform). • Support platform growth: Neon pilots (OAuth/embed), Stripe for payments and rewards (tax automation), hybrid AI upgrades in Year 2 (direct APIs/PETs). • Advise on tech roadmap: KPIs and churn prediction (Mixpanel), A/B pricing tests, and exit strategy support (valuation tracking for 10x ARR). • Collaborate cross-functionally: Mentor future hires (e.g., DPO), contribute to funding efforts, assist with IP protection and patent research. Requirements • 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably within startups, privacy tech, or AI. • Proficiency in no-code/low-code platforms: Bubble, Make/Zapier, Airtable. • Experience integrating APIs and services: AWS (S3/KMS/GuardDuty), MonkeyLearn, Stripe, Typeform. • Strong knowledge of privacy and security standards: Encryption, PETs, GDPR/CCPA/EU AI Act compliance. • Familiarity with testing tools: OWASP ZAP, LoadForge, beta testing practices. • Independent work ethic and startup mindset. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Preferred • Experience with hybrid AI systems (e.g., ML verification/escalations). • Understanding of sustainability and carbon tracking metrics. • Commitment to inclusive design and diversity in tech. • Genuine interest in privacy rights and user empowerment.
