This is a contract hybrid role for a Technical Lead at Computer Deductions Inc. CDI offers 1099 roles and W2 roles with benefits for this position. This role will be based in Sacramento, CA, with flexibility for remote work. Please read below for more details on the contract

CDI is supporting the California Highway Patrol’s (CHP) Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and related technologies. We will assist the Communications Centers Support Section (CCSS) in maintaining and optimizing Central Square Technologies (CST) software used across 24 statewide communications centers and partner agencies (DPR and DFW).
Key Responsibilities Include:
Administration and support of the CAD and Citrix environments
Performing CST software upgrades and configurations
PC and equipment optimization and support
Supporting GIS, audio/incident logging, and CAD system integrations
Ensuring high availability and performance of dispatch systems
The goal is to ensure reliable, cross-jurisdictional communication during critical events, enhancing both public and officer safety.
Mandatory Qualifications
1. Minimum of five (5) years of experience aligning IT systems with organizational
business processes.
1. Minimum of three (3) years of experience aligning IT systems with
organizational business processes in a lead capacity.
1. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a 24x7 service provider
environment managing technical SQL operations supporting mission critical systems.
1. Minimum of five (5) years of experience with strong technical skills/ knowledge spanning computer aided dispatch, mobile data terminal, and/or 9-1-1
enterprise infrastructure.
1. Minimum of ten (10) years of experience and working knowledge of database
design, administration, optimization, and troubleshooting using Microsoft SQL 2016 or later in a public safety or emergency services environment.
1. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with SQL indexing and fragmentation to ensure optimal system performance for a mission critical system and
environment.
1. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with Transact SQL or equivalent,
including ad hoc queries and data analysis.
1. Minimum of seven (7) years of directly related work experience in database administration for business intelligence/data warehousing, reporting and analytics, and SQL Replication for aggregating and centralizing data in an
environment with multiple production databases.
1. Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an SQL developer, including the
creation and maintenance of SQL views for external systems in a public safety environment.
1. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS) to create, maintain and support custom reports with advance stored
procedures.
1. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience implementing software updates and maintaining all aspects of Microsoft SQL 2016 or later, including migrating to and/or supporting High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies (e.g.,
Always On, Log Shipping, Replication).
1. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience providing support resolving database related services requests and troubleshooting complex systems issues across
multi-agency systems.
1. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience providing support for IT database infrastructure and systems for State of California agencies or entity equivalent in
size and complexity to the CHP, including mission critical systems.
1. Bachelor’s degree in IT-related (i.e. Computer Science, Management
Information Systems) or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
