Technical Product Owner – Data & Analytics

We are seeking a Technical Product Owner to drive delivery of data & analytics solutions for a leading insurance client. This role is ideal for someone who can bridge business needs with data engineering & BI teams, translating complex requirements into actionable backlog items. Role Details: • Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid) • Duration: 5-months initial contract & high possibility of extension • Interview: 2 rounds (Video + Onsite) Key Responsibilities: • Own and manage the product backlog for Data & BI initiatives • Translate business requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria • Partner with stakeholders, data engineers, and BI teams to deliver scalable data solutions • Prioritize features based on business value and data strategy • Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Refinement, PI Planning, etc.) • Ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment of delivered data products and reports Must Have: • Experience as a Technical Product Owner / Data Product Owner / Technical BA (Data-heavy) • Strong understanding of data & analytics environments • Hands-on experience with: SQL (required), Python (preferred) • Experience with BI tools: Tableau / Power BI • Familiarity with cloud data platforms: AWS (Redshift, SageMaker, or similar) • Strong experience with backlog management, user stories, and stakeholder communication Nice to Have: • Experience in Insurance / Financial Services domain • Understanding of data modeling (star schema, etc.) • Exposure to data governance / data quality practices Ideal Background: • Data Analyst / BI Developer → Product Owner • Analytics / Data-focused Technical Business Analyst • Data Engineer with Product Ownership experience • • If you’re a Product Owner who understands data—not just features, we’d love to connect • •
