Terraform Engineer

ONLY W2 Role: Terraform Location: Omaha, NE (Remote) Duration: 12+ Months Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Terraform Engineer with deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically using Terraform, to design, develop, and manage scalable infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. This role is focused primarily on Terraform development and infrastructure automation, rather than a broad DevOps profile. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform across Azure environments. • Develop reusable, modular, and scalable Terraform configurations. • Manage and provision Azure resources through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices. • Collaborate with engineering teams to define infrastructure requirements and implement automation solutions. • Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or Jenkins for Terraform deployments. • Ensure version control and collaboration using Git repositories. • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure deployment issues. • Enforce best practices in Terraform state management, security, and resource governance. • Continuously improve infrastructure automation processes and efficiency. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (must-have; core skill for this role). • Extensive experience working with Microsoft Azure services and architecture. • Proficiency with Git for version control and code management. • Experience with Azure DevOps and/or Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline implementation. • Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and best practices. • Experience in managing Terraform state, modules, and environment separation. • Good understanding of cloud networking, security, and resource provisioning in Azure. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with large-scale Terraform deployments in enterprise environments. • Familiarity with Terraform Cloud/Enterprise is a plus. • Understanding of scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) is beneficial but not mandatory
