📍 Edinburgh (Hybrid) | 💰 £475/day Inside IR35 | 🕰️ 6-Month Contract Role: Senior Test Automation Engineer – Strategic Investment Platform We're hiring for a skilled Test Automation Engineer to support the rollout of a business-critical system for one of UKs leading investment firms. This is a hands-on, collaborative contract where you'll build out automation capabilities in a modern, containerised architecture (.NET Core APIs, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps). You’ll work closely with devs, BAs and stakeholders from day one – no black-box testing here. ✅ What You’ll Do: • Build and extend API test automation using .NET/C# • Create system, integration, and vendor-level tests • Work with messaging queues (Azure Service Bus) • Embed automation into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps • Collaborate through pull requests, Git (trunk-based dev), and BDD specs (Gherkin/Reqnroll) • Champion testing standards, risk coverage and static testing in an Agile team 🎯 What We’re Looking For: • 3+ years in Agile teams with Test Automation • API test experience using C#/Visual Studio • Familiarity with mock/stub frameworks (e.g. WireMock.NET) • Strong communicator comfortable analysing risk and shaping test strategy • Bonus: experience in asset/investment management, performance testing, or UAT prep If you thrive in agile delivery, have the technical depth to automate confidently, and enjoy close-knit cross-functional teams, this one’s for you.
