Our challenge
We are seeking an experienced ATM / Teller Cash Recycler (TCR) Integration Lead with strong Java development experience to support branch automation and ATM transaction systems for a leading financial institution. This role focuses on designing and integrating ATM applications and Teller Cash Recycler devices with banking systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ATM middleware, XFS/JXFS frameworks, ATM protocols, and device integration with ATM/TCR hardware vendors such as NCR, Diebold Nixdorf, or Glory.
The candidate will also lead development efforts, mentor engineers, and collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver secure and scalable banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design and development of ATM and Teller Cash Recycler (TCR) integration solutions.
• Develop Java-based transaction processing applications for ATM and branch devices.
• Integrate banking systems with ATM networks and TCR hardware.
• Implement device communication using XFS / JXFS frameworks.
• Design and develop REST APIs and microservices supporting ATM services.
• Work with ATM hardware vendors such as NCR, Diebold Nixdorf, Glory, or Hyosung.
• Support cash deposit, withdrawal, and reconciliation workflows.
• Lead technical design reviews, code reviews, and development best practices.
• Provide production support and troubleshooting for ATM/TCR systems.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with banking standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial technology, with significant experience in Calypso platform.
• Deep expertise in Calypso’s Accounting and CRE modules.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial instruments, credit risk, and treasury operations.
• Proven experience in system configuration, integration, and process optimization.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced certifications in Calypso or related financial systems.
• CFA and MBA degrees are highly desirable.
• Prior experience in banking, capital markets, asset management, or financial services.
• Knowledge of Calypso’s overall architecture and integration points.
Required Technical Skills
• Strong experience with Java (Java 8/11/17).
• Expertise in Spring Boot / Spring Framework.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of SQL (Oracle / SQL Server).
• Experience with message queues such as IBM MQ or Kafka.
• Familiarity with WebLogic / Tomcat application servers.
ATM / TCR Integration Experience (Mandatory)
Candidates must have hands-on experience with:
• ATM application development and integration
• Teller Cash Recycler (TCR) device integration
• XFS / JXFS / CEN/XFS frameworks
• ATM transaction protocols such as:
• NDC
• DDC
• ISO 8583
Experience working with ATM hardware vendors such as:

Banking Domain Experience
• Experience working in banking or financial services environments.
• Strong understanding of ATM transaction processing and branch automation systems.
• Familiarity with secure financial transaction systems and compliance standards.
Leadership Experience
• 8+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years in a Lead or Senior Developer role
• Experience leading development teams and mentoring engineers
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).
• Familiarity with Docker / Kubernetes.
