Trade and Transaction Reporting Business Analyst
Department: Regulatory Reporting / Compliance / Change Management
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to support our Trade and Transaction Reporting function. This role is essential in ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements across the EMEA region, with a focus on EMIR Refit and related frameworks.
You will work closely with Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams to monitor regulatory developments, manage reporting accuracy, and implement control enhancements using industry tools such as DUCO.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Monitor and analyse regulatory updates across EMEA, ensuring the firm stays compliant with evolving trade and transaction reporting obligations, particularly EMIR Refit.
β’ Review and manage tri-annual Kaizen assurance reports, validating data, addressing issues, and coordinating timely resolutions.
β’ Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing to validate system changes and defect fixes.
β’ Lead and support change management initiatives for new products or regulations, including business impact assessments and end-user training.
β’ Collect and validate data for live and matured back reporting, implementing improvements to optimise accuracy and efficiency.
β’ Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to define and document business requirements that enhance Trade & Transaction Reporting processes.
β’ Build strong partnerships across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring consensus, quality delivery, and regulatory alignment.
β’ Operate and customise DUCO reconciliations, ensuring completeness and data integrity for EMIR reports.
β’ Investigate and resolve reconciliation issues, engaging appropriate teams, running impact analysis, and ensuring timely remediation.
β’ Communicate findings, risks, and action plans to senior stakeholders across Compliance, Technology, and Operations.
Required Skills & Experience:
β’ Strong understanding of EMEA regulatory frameworks, especially EMIR Refit and Trade/Transaction Reporting standards.
β’ Prior experience working with Kaizen reports and DUCO or similar reconciliation tools.
β’ Proficiency in analysing large datasets and identifying reporting gaps.
β’ Hands-on experience in business analysis, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
β’ Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and change management processes.
β’ Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and drive initiatives through to completion.
Preferred:
β’ Experience working in financial services, compliance, or regulatory reporting roles.
β’ Exposure to UAT and project delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
β’ Knowledge of other regulatory regimes (e.g., MiFIR, SFTR, MAS, ASIC) is a plus.
