Role description
We are looking for a TypeScript Developer who is passionate about building high-performance, scalable applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with TypeScript and JavaScript, good working knowledge of Java, and hands-on expertise in cloud-native development using AWS serverless services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.
Duration : 6 months
Location London (onsite 3 days /week)
Contract Rate: -per day inside IR35.
The skillset that we need to look for:
• Typescript development ( main skill )
• Java & Javascript ( secondary skills )
• Docker development
• AWS serverless development ( knowledge on Kinesis stream , lamda, eventbridge , event mapper )
• ECS & Fargate
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using TypeScript
• Write clean, maintainable code using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g., Node.js, React/Angular)
• Build, deploy, and monitor serverless applications using AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and CloudWatch
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and QA
• Implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native applications
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure software quality
• Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Occasionally work on backend services using Java
Required Skills:
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
• Solid experience in cloud-native development using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, etc.
• Working knowledge of Java and backend development practices
• Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices architecture
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline)
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodology
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with front-end frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform)
• AWS certification (Developer or Architect – Associate level) is a plus
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or JUnit
