Role description
Seeking a Senior UC4/Automic professional with the knowledge and experience including the Linux operating system along with comparable communication and interpersonal skills to enable success on this high-visibility project. Position will perform application management support for UC4/Automic Operational Manager enterprise scheduler. Position will be required to provide technical analysis, incident management, reporting and perform upgrades. Position will also perform some Linux systems administration on a shared team.
Required Skills:
5+ years of UC4/Automic experience in a Linux and windows environment
5+ years in supporting the UC4/Automic application while using Oracle and SQL as the database.
5+ years of performing successful UC4 upgrades in Production Environments.
5+ years programming/Scripting skills in JCL, Powershell, Perl and Java.
2+ years with Control-M and Autosys scheduling tools
Preferred Skills
Certification
UC4/Automic certification
Experience in RedHat-based environment
Duties include:
β’ Provide Application Admin Support of Clemsonβs Enterprise Scheduling Applications.
β’ Develop or drive development of monitoring solutions to assist in the Application Admin Support
β’ Develop reporting solutions for analyzing jobs runs and batch environment.
β’ Support triage of real time production incidents as well as root cause analysis of batch jobs that introduce an undesirable affect in the production environment.
β’ Manage upgrade or migration efforts related to existing jobs
β’ Integrate UC4 with Linux, Windows and Mainframe environments, ensuring seamless operations.
β’ Work with Job Scheduling team in development and provide training related to job standards and methods, escalation processes, and diagnostic approaches.
β’ Develop or drive development of disaster recovery solutions for job scheduling and ensure high availability of the UC4/Automic Application
β’ Develop, enhance and support automation scripts using JCL, Bash, Powershell, Perl and Java.
β’ Provide expertise in cross-platform scheduling tools such as Control-M and Autosys.
β’ Managing patch levels and planning future upgrades to the UC4/Automic product
β’ Documenting job scheduling policies and procedures
β’ Develop and update reports for application administrative and operational needs
β’ 24/7 on call support on a rotating schedule.
β’ Other duties as assigned.
