Role description
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled UrbanCode Deploy (uDeploy) Administrator with deep expertise in IBM UrbanCode Deploy (UDeploy) upgrades. This role requires hands-on experience as an administrator β€”not just a userβ€”capable of managing upgrades, deployments, and plugin development. The ideal candidate will also have experience managing IBM licenses and integrating CI/CD tools into enterprise environments. β€’ Position open to remote candidates β€’ $60-65 / HR + benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401k) β€’ 6 month contract position with potential for permanent conversion β€’ Must work Eastern Time hours Key Responsibilities: β€’ Administer, configure, and upgrade IBM UrbanCode Deploy (UDeploy) environments. β€’ Develop and support custom UDeploy plugins, including integrations with tools like ServiceNow. β€’ Manage IBM license keys and oversee the UDeploy licensing process. β€’ Onboard and support consumers of the UDeploy application. β€’ Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and JFrog Artifactory. β€’ Develop Jenkins Shared Libraries using Groovy. β€’ Integrate and develop APIs to support automation and deployment workflows. β€’ Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployment processes. β€’ Maintain and support source control systems including GitHub, Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps Server. β€’ Operate within RHEL environments for deployment and configuration tasks. Required Qualifications: β€’ 6+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or related roles. β€’ 4–6 years of hands-on experience with IBM UrbanCode Deploy (UDeploy) as an administrator/developer. β€’ Proven experience managing IBM License Key Center and UDeploy licensing processes. β€’ Strong coding skills in Groovy, Ansible, Python, or similar scripting languages. β€’ Experience building and supporting custom UDeploy plugins. β€’ Proficiency in CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory. β€’ Experience developing Jenkins Shared Libraries. β€’ Expertise in API development and integration. β€’ Strong knowledge of Git and version control tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub, and Azure DevOps Server. β€’ Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
