UiPath Business Analyst - Epic Healthcare Provider | Epic Systems | Intelligent Automation Job Title: UiPath Business Analyst - Epic Job Type: Contract Job Location: Remote (USA) We are seeking a skilled and mission-driven UiPath Business Analyst with deep expertise in healthcare provider operations and Epic EHR systems to join our Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence (CoE). In this role you will serve as the critical bridge between clinical and operational stakeholders and the technical automation delivery team β€” translating complex provider workflows into scalable, compliant RPA solutions. Your understanding of how provider organizations operate β€” from clinical documentation and patient access to revenue cycle and care coordination β€” combined with hands-on experience navigating Epic's application ecosystem, will allow you to identify high-impact automation opportunities, document them with precision, and guide developers to build solutions that truly work within the realities of healthcare delivery. All work must adhere to HIPAA/HITECH requirements, 21 CFR Part 11 where applicable, Joint Commission standards, and the organization's data governance and security policies. Candidates should have meaningful working experience across one or more of the following Epic application areas: Epic MyChart || Epic OpTime (OR) || Epic Beaker (Lab) || Epic Radiant (Radiology) || Epic Cadence (Scheduling) || Epic Prelude (Registration) || Epic HIM / Chart Completion || Epic Resolute (Professional Billing) || Epic Resolute (Hospital Billing) || Epic Tapestry (Managed Care) || Epic Grand Central (ADT) || Epic Willow (Pharmacy) || Epic ClinDoc / Nursing || Epic Care Everywhere (HIE) || Epic Reporting / Clarity / Caboodle Process Discovery & Opportunity Assessment Requirements Elicitation & Documentation Epic EHR & Provider Operations Expertise Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication Testing, Validation & Change Management CoE Contribution & Continuous Improvement Required Experience β€’ Bachelor’s degree in health information management, Health Informatics, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). β€’ 4+ years of business analysis experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a healthcare provider setting (hospital, health system, physician group, or academic medical center). β€’ Demonstrated hands-on experience working within Epic EHR β€” including familiarity with Epic workflows in one or more of the following: clinical documentation, scheduling/registration, HIM, revenue cycle, or pharmacy. β€’ Understanding of provider-side healthcare operations: patient access, clinical workflows, revenue cycle (charge capture through remittance), HIM/coding, and care coordination. β€’ Experience authoring Process Definition Documents (PDDs), Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), use-case specifications, and test plans for technology projects. β€’ Familiarity with UiPath platform concepts β€” RPA components, bot types, Orchestrator, attended vs. unattended automation β€” sufficient to have productive technical conversations with developers. β€’ Strong understanding of HIPAA Privacy & Security Rules, HITECH, and PHI data handling requirements in automated workflows. β€’ Proficiency with process mapping tools: Visio, Lucidchart, draw.io, or equivalent. β€’ Experience with project collaboration tools: Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalent. β€’ Outstanding analytical, communication, and facilitation skills; ability to work effectively with clinical, operational, and technical audiences. β€’ Must be authorized to work in the United States. β€’ Epic certification in one or more application areas (e.g., Cadence, Prelude, Resolute, HIM, ClinDoc, Beaker, or equivalent). β€’ UiPath Business Analyst certification or UiPath RPA Associate (UiRPA) certification. β€’ CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA certification. β€’ Experience with UiPath Process Mining, Task Mining, or Document Understanding in a healthcare context. β€’ Exposure to FHIR R4 / HL7 interfaces, Epic APIs, and interoperability platforms (MuleSoft, Azure API Management) as they relate to automation integration points. β€’ Experience supporting automation in Joint Commission-accredited or HITRUST-certified environments. β€’ Revenue cycle management (RCM) experience: working knowledge of the full provider billing cycle from charge capture through collections. β€’ Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Healthcare, or process improvement certification. β€’ Experience with change management methodologies (Prosci ADKAR or equivalent) in clinical settings. β€’ Background in clinical roles (nursing, medical coding, HIM, clinical informatics) is a significant plus.
