In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing our Elasticsearch-based search infrastructure to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability. You’ll work closely with data engineers, backend developers, and DevOps teams to integrate search capabilities into our applications and systems. Key Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and manage scalable Elasticsearch clusters. • Develop indexing strategies for structured and unstructured data. • Integrate Elasticsearch with other systems (e.g., Logstash, Kibana, Beats, or external data pipelines). • Optimize Elasticsearch queries and cluster performance. • Implement search features like autocomplete, fuzzy search, faceting, etc. • Ensure data security, redundancy, and availability of Elasticsearch services. • Monitor cluster health and performance using Kibana or other observability tools. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Elasticsearch indexing and querying. • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to understand search requirements. • Stay current with the latest Elasticsearch features and best practices. Requirements: • Proven experience with Elasticsearch (OpenSearch experience is a plus). • Strong knowledge of indexing, querying, and cluster management. • Proficiency with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana). • Experience with JSON-based REST APIs and data modeling for search. • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) and regular expressions. • Understanding of distributed systems and data storage principles. • Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana). • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
