Role description
Duration: 10+ months
Location: 100% REMOTE (will work PST hours)
We are seeking a Varicent ICM Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable incentive compensation solutions within the Varicent platform.
This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering role responsible for implementing complex calculation logic, managing data integrations, and ensuring high-performance incentive processing across large sales and partner ecosystems.
Requirements:
β’ Deep hands-on experience with Varicent ICM configuration & engineering
β’ Strong expertise in calculation logic, crediting rules, and incentive modeling
β’ Experience building and optimizing Varicent data models & calculation engines
β’ Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformation, and reconciliation
β’ SQL proficiency and strong understanding of relational databases
β’ Experience supporting large-scale sales or partner compensation programs
β’ Experience with environment management (Dev/Test/Prod) and migrations
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Engineer and configure complex Varicent ICM compensation models
β’ Build and maintain calculation workflows, crediting logic, and processing schedules
β’ Design and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation processes
β’ Troubleshoot performance issues within calculation engines and processing cycles
β’ Implement enhancements and system upgrades within Varicent
β’ Support compensation plan changes and ensure scalable technical implementation
β’ Partner with Sales Ops, Finance, IT, and Business stakeholders
β’ Maintain system documentation and deployment standards
Nice to Have:
β’ Experience with global incentive programs
β’ Exposure to BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
β’ Experience with large-scale Varicent migrations or upgrades
β’ Scripting experience within Varicent or related technologies
