Role description
Veeva Reporting Analyst
18+ month contract
100% remote
Overview
The RIIM SPRM team is seeking a contract Reporting Analyst to support the ARC (Accelerate Regulatory Capabilities) project during the migration of our submission planning capability to Veeva. This is a fixed-term, direct contracting role focused on assessing, mapping, rebuilding and validation of submission planning reports to ensure continued visibility of planning insights post-transition. The contractor will work closely with GRACS OPS RIIM, submission planning stakeholders, Veeva SMEs, and IT to deliver accurate reports.
Responsibilities
β’ Assist with the inventory and documentation of current submission planning reports (purpose, owners, inputs, outputs, business rules, and consumers) and impact from Veeva transition.
β’ Drive the redevelopment of SPRM and stakeholder planning reports from Veeva equivalent data.
β’ Deliver curated datasets to support stakeholder driven planning reports, as needed.
β’ Triage and resolve ad-hoc reporting requests and defects during migration and stabilization.
β’ Develop and apply expert level knowledge of the DORA data hub and other sources of reporting data.
β’ Conduct thorough validation of recreated and existing reports against business requirements.
β’ Develop and maintain clear requirements documentation to support report development, UAT, and formal approvals.
Requirements
β’ Proven experience delivering reporting services on medium-to-large projects; comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
β’ Extensive hands-on experience with Power BI: data modelling, DAX, incremental refresh/refresh scheduling, and row-level security.
β’ Practical experience with Veeva (Registrations, Vault RIM, or other Veeva regulatory modules), including an understanding of the data model and common reporting patterns.
β’ Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, reconciliation and troubleshooting.
β’ Familiarity with data hub concepts and architectures (data lakes, data marts, integration hubs) and how they affect reporting.
β’ Proven ability to translate business reporting requirements into technical specifications and actionable reports.
β’ Strong analytical mindset with rigorous attention to detail.
β’ Demonstrated experience in customer-facing reporting roles: eliciting requirements, presenting results, and iterating based on stakeholder feedback.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with both IT and the business.
