VP of AI and Data

Interim Vice President, Data and AI Location: Waltham, MA (Hybrid/Flexible) Reports to: Chief Transformation Officer Position Overview We are seeking a visionary Interim Vice President of Data and AI to lead our global strategy for data and artificial intelligence. This executive will be responsible for shaping the future of AI-powered innovation, driving product development, and leveraging our data ecosystem to create intelligent, automated experiences for customers. The VP will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and go-to-market leaders to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade AI solutions that differentiate our offerings in the market. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Leadership • Define and execute the organization's Data and AI strategy, aligned with overall business goals. • Lead global teams of data scientists, AI/ML engineers, and platform architects. • Champion responsible and ethical AI practices across the enterprise. Product Innovation • Drive the integration of advanced AI/ML models into core platforms and services. • Partner with product management to identify and deliver AI-driven features that enhance user experience and business outcomes. Data Platform Excellence • Oversee the design and evolution of the organization's data architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. • Ensure effective data governance, privacy, and compliance across all regions and business units. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work with technology and product leaders to embed AI into all layers of the platform and services. • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to communicate AI differentiation to clients and stakeholders. Thought Leadership • Represent the organization externally at conferences, analyst briefings, and customer events as a thought leader in AI/ML. • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and bring innovative solutions into the strategic roadmap. Qualifications • 15+ years of experience in data, analytics, and AI/ML leadership roles, with at least 7 years at the executive level. • Proven success building and scaling AI-driven platforms or products in SaaS, cloud, or enterprise software environments. • Strong expertise in machine learning, generative AI, large-scale data platforms, and applied AI in enterprise use cases. • Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, observability, and security is a strong plus. • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic influencing skills. • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field preferred.
