Cloud Engineer (AWS Modernization) - Contract (Only W2) Start Date: ASAP Location: Remote (US-based) Contract Length: 12 Months Experience: 2–3+ years hands-on AWS About the Role: We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our growing US team for a mainframe-to-AWS modernization project. You’ll work on breaking down mainframe modules and rebuilding them in AWS, leveraging containerization and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to deliver scalable, automated solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Migrate and modernize legacy mainframe modules into AWS-based microservices. • Design, build, and maintain containerized applications (ECS, EKS, or Docker). • Implement automation and orchestration with Terraform or CloudFormation. • Troubleshoot and optimize cloud services, ensuring performance and reliability. • Collaborate with application teams to redesign and deploy cloud-native components. Must Have Skills: • 2–3 years hands-on AWS experience (ECS, Lambda, SQS, etc.). • Containerization experience (ECS/EKS/Docker). • Infrastructure as Code expertise (Terraform or CloudFormation). • CI/CD pipeline experience (YAML scripting). • Understanding of networking and cloud security fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancers, firewalls). Nice to Have: • Experience with serverless (Lambda) and microservices. • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef). • Programming experience (Python with boto3). • API Gateway or message broker (Kafka/Solace) experience.
