Role description
Role: Adobe experience platform Location: Remote Experience: 10 Role Summary We’re hiring hands-on AEP/Real-Time CDP developers to build and evolve customer data foundations and activation use cases on Adobe Experience Platform. You will design XDM schemas, implement data ingestion (batch/streaming), configure Identity Service & merge policies, operationalize segment creation, and enable activation to downstream destinations (AJO/Target/Campaign/paid media). You’ll also instrument web/mobile using Adobe Web/Mobile SDKs via Adobe Tags (Launch) and integrate consent, governance, and privacy. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities) • Data Modeling & Ingestion ◦ Design/extend XDM class & schema (profile, experience events); define datasets, dataflows, and Data Prep mappings. ◦ Implement batch and streaming ingestion (S3/GCS/Kafka/HTTP/SDK) with data quality checks and error handling. • Identity & Profile ◦ Configure Identity Service (namespaces, ID stitching) and merge policies; validate profile completeness and deduping. ◦ Troubleshoot profile joins, stitching & audience eligibility. • Segmentation & Activation ◦ Build reusable audiences/segments (rule & computed attributes); schedule evaluations; monitor segment realization. ◦ Configure Destinations (Adobe/paid media/CRM) with appropriate mappings, privacy labels, and delivery schedules. • Web/Mobile Instrumentation ◦ Implement Adobe Web SDK / Mobile SDK using Adobe Tags (Launch); build rules, data elements, and custom events. ◦ Use Experience Platform Debugger/Assurance to validate client-side data collection and consent flows. • Journeys & Personalization (Plus) ◦ Collaborate on AJO journeys and Adobe Target activities using CDP audiences and event triggers. • Governance, Privacy & Ops ◦ Apply DULE labels, consent & Privacy Service; manage sandboxes; document runbooks, monitors, and SLAs. ◦ Use Query Service for validation, QA, and audience analytics; build health dashboards for pipelines and segments. • Collaboration ◦ Partner with product, marketing ops, data engineering, and security to translate use cases into shippable configurations. ◦ Contribute to best-practice templates, naming standards, and re-usable patterns. Minimum Qualifications • 3–7 years in data/marketing engineering or digital analytics, including 2+ years hands-on with AEP/Real-Time CDP. • Demonstrated experience with: ◦ XDM schemas, datasets, dataflows, Data Prep, Identity Service, Profile Service, Segment Builder, Destinations. ◦ Adobe Tags (Launch) and Web/Mobile SDK implementation (rules, extensions, event forwarding). ◦ SQL and JSON; comfort with APIs/Postman and payload troubleshooting. ◦ Version control (Git/GitHub) and Agile delivery (Jira/Azure DevOps). • Strong communication skills; ability to write clear solution notes and run working sessions with marketing and engineering. Preferred (Nice to Have) • AJO (Journey design, event sources, audience triggers) and Adobe Target/Campaign/Marketo Engage integrations. • Streaming experience (Kafka/Pub/Sub/Kinesis) and data pipelines (Airflow/Composer/DBT). • Cloud exposure, ideally GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions/Run). • Consent/privacy frameworks (GDPR/CCPA) and Adobe Privacy Service; data governance with DULE labels. • API integration via Adobe I/O, Edge Network, Event Forwarding; familiarity with Assurance and Debugger tooling. • • Certification(s): Adobe Real-Time CDP, Adobe Analytics/Target, or equivalent.
