A leading bank is seeking a SQL Analyst Developer to join on a 6-month contract. The role requires strong SQL development skills alongside the ability to understand business logic and translate it into practical reporting and analytics. You’ll work closely with business users as well as technical teams, delivering high-quality solutions that enable the bank to make data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and reporting layers.
• Translate business requirements from banking stakeholders into data models and technical solutions.
• Develop and support dashboards, reports, and BI solutions for finance, risk, and operations teams.
• Contribute to the build-out of scalable pipelines, incorporating modern data platforms such as Databricks and Delta Lake.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and reliability of datasets and reporting outputs.
• Collaborate with both business and technology teams to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.
Skills & Experience
• Strong SQL development skills with proven experience in complex query writing and performance tuning.
• Solid experience in data analysis and business logic translation, ideally within financial services or banking.
• Exposure to modern data platforms (Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, or similar).
• Familiarity with BI/visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker).
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to communicate technical detail to non-technical stakeholders.
