🔧 Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Integration Engineer with expertise in API Gateway automation (IBM API Connect, IBI PAI, or similar tools) and Confluent Kafka. This role requires strong Python programming skills, especially for building and automating streaming pipelines, and hands-on experience with cloud-native platforms. The primary focus is on automating deployments, managing scalable and secure integrations, and supporting real-time data streaming across enterprise systems.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
API Gateway & Middleware Automation
• Automate API deployments using IBM API Connect CLI, IBI PAI, or similar tools.
• Manage DataPower or similar gateway configurations via Ansible/YAML.
• Implement API security policies, quotas, and monitoring through DevOps pipelines.
Confluent Kafka Streaming
• Design and implement scalable, real-time streaming data pipelines.
• Work with Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and ksqlDB.
• Develop and maintain Kafka CI/CD pipelines and reusable connectors.
Infrastructure & Operational Automation
• Deploy and manage services using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Enable observability using Prometheus, Confluent Control Center, and related tools.
• Create automation scripts, reusable IaC templates, and detailed runbooks.
✅ Required Skills:
• 5+ years of experience in integration/platform engineering.
• 2+ years in API automation (IBM API Connect, IBI PAI, DataPower, or similar).
• Strong experience with Confluent Kafka and related streaming technologies.
• Strong Python scripting/coding skills (Java or Node.js also considered).
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and cloud-native tools.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and secure API gateway design.
⭐ Nice to Have:
• Experience with Confluent Cloud or hybrid Kafka environments.
• Knowledge of IBM Event Streams or similar messaging solutions.
• Background in finance, banking, or other regulated industries.
