Appian Lead Developer

Job Title: Appian Senior Lead Developer Location: Atlanta, GA or Quincy, MA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Duration: Long Term Job Description: Position Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Appian Senior Lead Developer with 8+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Appian platform, including solution architecture, application development, and deployment. This role requires strong knowledge of Appian Business Process Management (BPM) and the ability to design scalable, high-performing solutions that align with business objectives. Key Responsibilities • Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of Appian applications. • Architect Appian-based solutions to meet both functional and non-functional business requirements. • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Build and configure workflows, business rules, integrations, and user interfaces in Appian. • Ensure applications are optimized for scalability, maintainability, and performance. • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior developers. • Conduct code reviews to maintain development standards and best practices. • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve Appian-related technical issues. • Keep current with the latest Appian product features, BPM trends, and emerging technologies. Qualifications • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline. • Extensive hands-on experience with Appian, including Appian BPM Suite and Appian RPA. • Proven experience as a Senior Developer or Architect in Appian development. • Strong knowledge of BPM principles, methodologies, and best practices. • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, SQL, and integration technologies. • Experience working with REST/SOAP web services, XML, JSON, and third-party system integration. • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. • Ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative team environments. Preferred Skills • Appian Certified Senior Developer or Appian Certified Lead Developer. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. • Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD practices.
