Role description
Insight Global is seeking an Apptio Developer to support a Financial Client! This opportunity is based out of Chandler, AZ, and will be on site 3-5x a week. Must Haves: • Ability to work on a W2 basis without sponsorship • Ability to work on site in CLT 4x a week • 5+ years of experience in enterprise platform development/configuration and/or technology process automation (e.g., TBM/Apptio, PPM, ITSM, workflow platforms) • Demonstrated experience delivering workflow-based enterprise solutions with integrations, reporting, and controlled SDLC practices • Working knowledge of data modeling, integrations (API/ETL), and reporting/analytics in enterprise environments • Experience operating in Agile delivery with strong documentation, testing discipline, and stakeholder management • Experience with Apptio (TBM Studio / ApptioOne / related modules) or similar financial/operational management platforms Familiarity with Demand Management, PPM, ITIL intake, and governance/tollgate models • Experience integrating with ServiceNow / Remedy / financial systems / data warehouses Preferred Skills: • Desired Qualifications intuitive intake forms, field behaviors, and user-facing workflow screens within Apptio • Strong data skills: data quality checks, reconciliation/variance analysis, and control-oriented documentation/runbooks • Experience implementing validation rules/guardrails to improve intake consistency and downstream trust • Familiarity with integration patterns for Apptio data movement (scheduled loads, connectors, API-based uploads/downloads) Ability to troubleshoot build/performance issues and support-controlled promotion/release practices • Exposure to TBM/FinOps concepts and standard taxonomy/mapping approaches (helpful for scalable reporting) • Hands-on Apptio development experience (data tables/transforms, data model/metrics, reporting/dashboards) Responsibilities: • Part of a dynamic team standing up the Enterprise Demand Management capability in Apptio, including end-to-end workflow, governance model, and adoption across Lines of Business • Owns requirements discovery and translation into solution design facilitates workshops, documents user stories/acceptance criteria, and aligns intake standards, routing logic, stage-gates, and decision rights (LOB/APSE/CTI) • Builds and configures the Apptio demand intake and routing solution, including forms, workflow steps, validation rules, status models, approvals, notifications, and exception/escalation paths • Implements governance controls that enforce demand quality at the point of submission (mandatory fields, data standards, completeness checks), reducing rework and increasing downstream trust in reporting • Develops reporting and KPI insights to support operational governance and leadership visibility (volume, cycle time, aging, stage conversion, exception rates, and compliance to entry criteria) • Partners with process owners, Finance/FinOps, Architecture, Operations, and platform teams to ensure the demand solution is aligned to enterprise policy, portfolio priorities, and execution realities • Designs and supports data mapping and integration needs to enable traceable demand records and consistent taxonomy (products/services, hierarchies, units of measure, cost objects) where required • Executes controlled SDLC delivery: supports backlog grooming, sprint execution, testing strategy, release management, deployment readiness, and hypercare stabilization • Drives UAT readiness and cutover execution to meet time-fenced milestones aligned to Remedy retirement; proactively manages dependencies, defects, and environment readiness to avoid missed go-live windows • Maintains strong documentation discipline: requirements, configuration/design decisions, test cases, runbooks, and governance playbooks to enable sustainment and audit-ready traceability • Serves as a seasoned technical resource and individual contributor; provides hands-on build capability while influencing stakeholders to make timely decisions and adopt standard intake behaviors • Will not have direct reports but will influence and/or direct activities across cross-functional teams to deliver governance outcomes and platform implementation success • Continuously identifies opportunities to reduce offline/manual intake methods, standardize demand intake patterns, and improve data quality and process efficiency through automation and controls • Incorporates multiple AI channels into standard practice to accelerate requirements synthesis, improve test coverage, enhance documentation quality, and increase consistency across deliverables
