Position Title: Artificial Intelligence (AI) Integration Lead Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: NO - Not available for this position Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance Work Schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday Travel: Up to 10% of the time Description of Duties: The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Integration Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The AI Integration Lead will be responsible for overseeing the integration of AI technologies into cybersecurity processes, systems, and workflows. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement AI solutions that drive efficiency, automation, and innovation, ensuring seamless integration across enterprise and operational technology systems. The candidate will:
β’ Identify and resolve quality issues across the data lifecycle paving the way for workflow automation and orchestration
β’ Design and develop AI models and algorithms
β’ Conduct data analysis to inform AI development and evaluate performance
β’ Identify training data sets to support machine learning of AI systems
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities and ensure alignment with defensive cyberspace operation objectives
β’ Monitor and optimize AI system performance, including testing, troubleshooting, and implementing optimization strategies to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability
β’ Develop and deliver training materials to upskill internal teams on AI tools and technologies
β’ Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI to ensure practices remain cutting-edge The successful candidate will:
β’ Be able to troubleshoot complex technical problems, interpret data, and identify areas for improvement
β’ Have excellent and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
β’ Demonstrate adaptability and continuous learning, staying up to date with evolving technologies and approaches in the AI field Minimum Qualifications:
β’ Must be a U.S. Citizen
β’ Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
β’ Must have advanced/formal education in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Science
β’ Must have 10, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
β’ Must have 6, or more, years of directly related experience in AI and/or Data Science
β’ Must have a strong understanding of machine learning workflows (data sampling, preprocessing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and optimization)
β’ Must have experience with data analysis tools and techniques, including data visualization and reporting tools like Tableau or Power BI
β’ Must be proficient in programming languages like Python, R, and Java; familiarity with machine learning algorithms and frameworks; and experience with data analysis and cloud platforms
β’ Must be able to maintain a restricted badge and work on site 4+ days per week
β’ Must have, or obtain within 3 months of start date, a current IAT Level II Certification (Security+CE) Desired Qualifications:
β’ Familiarity with the MDA and MDS programs
β’ Familiarity with model-based engineering tools and techniques Compensation: Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 annually.
