Artificial Intelligence Engineer

This is a contract position with hourly rate with hybrid work presence in Mclean, VA. We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer with 10+ years of experience to design, build, and deploy advanced AI/ML, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions for enterprise applications. This role combines hands-on engineering with strategic leadership, driving AI adoption across large-scale business workflows. Responsibilities  Build and deploy scalable AI & ML solutions into enterprise systems.  Architect and integrate LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic AI that can reason, plan, and adapt.  Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to embed AI features into enterprise apps.  Lead MLOps/LLMOps practices including model deployment, monitoring, and governance.  Ensure AI solutions meet enterprise security, performance, and compliance standards  Mentor teams and influence enterprise AI transformation strategy. Requirements  Strong expertise in ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent).  Proficiency in Python (plus Golang, Java, or similar languages).  Hands-on experience with LLMs, embeddings, RAG, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration.  Deep knowledge of MLOps, APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).  Experience with enterprise-grade AI integration, security, and compliance.  Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
