Role: Artificial Intelligence Engineer - Consultant Company: Star International Location: Remote Expected start date: 15 September 2025 Are you passionate about revolutionizing the African landscape through Artificial Intelligence? Star International, is seeking a talented and experienced Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join our team as a Consultant. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the world while contributing to cutting-edge AI initiatives that will positively impact Africa. Responsibilities: • Provide expert guidance and training to our team of engineers in developing AI-powered applications relevant to projects to be implemented. • Lead training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to empower our engineering team in mastering AI technologies. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities and implement solutions that optimize potential customers’ operations. • Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI and incorporate best and cutting-edge practices into our development processes. • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of AI models and algorithms to enhance systems to be developed and deployed. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, or a related field. • Master's degree will be an added advantage. • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience building AI-powered applications. • Proficiency in machine learning techniques, deep learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow or PyTorch), and programming languages like Python. • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience. • Experience in providing training or mentorship to junior engineers is a plus. • Experience building AI-powered applications is a must. • A self-starter with a passion for innovation and a drive to make a positive impact on the livelihoods of African and other communities.
