Type: Part-time, Independent Contractor (1099) — 10–25 hours/week

About NoteBar
NoteBar is building a lightweight, AI-friendly notebook and project workspace. We’re laying the foundation for organic growth ahead of a public launch.
The Role
Lead programmatic SEO + analytics instrumentation for our main site (notebar.ai) and clone a streamlined analytics stack for a companion site. This is a 1099 engagement focused on shipping a crisp 30/60/90-day deliverables plan.
What You’ll Do
A) Analytics & Measurement
• Stand up GA4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager for notebar.ai; define core events (sign-ups, key notebook actions), UTM conventions, and consent/banner checks.
• Build a Looker Studio dashboard (blend GA4 + GSC: queries, pages, CTR, coverage, events/conversions).
• Clone the stack for a companion site with 1–2 tailored goals.
B) Technical SEO
• Crawl & audit; produce a prioritized P0/P1/P2 backlog with clear acceptance tests (indexation, canonicals, CWV opportunities, schema on key pages).
• Validate fixes with dev, add CI-friendly checks (sitemaps/robots, meta patterns).
C) Content System & Programmatic SEO
• Keyword/intent map; 6–8 content briefs + editorial calendar.
• Ship a programmatic template (e.g., /use-cases/, /compare/) and publish 6 initial pages with internal-link scaffolding and CTA slots.
D) Outreach & Launch Prep
• Starter outreach pack: target lists, angles, email templates; run one outreach cycle; draft a press kit skeleton.
• SEO-friendly pre-launch waitlist landing page; UTM plan; “Week-0” checklist for campaign.
E) Enablement
• Short runbooks + Looms (≤10 min each) for tagging/events, dashboards, audits→tickets, briefs→publish, programmatic template, outreach basics, weekly updates.
• Intern enablement by ~Week 3 (task packets + QA flow; handoff notes).
Milestones & Acceptance Criteria (summary)
~Day 30: GA4/GSC/GTM live for notebar.ai; baseline dashboard; UTM taxonomy; tech audit + ticket backlog; keyword/intent v1 + 3 briefs; programmatic spec v0; companion site analytics clone; 1–2 Looms; first weekly update.
~Day 60: +3 briefs (total 6–8); programmatic template shipped + 6 pages live; internal-link scaffolding; P0 tech fixes complete or scheduled; CWV/index coverage trending up; outreach pack executed; press kit skeleton; pre-launch LP live.
~Day 90: Dashboards stable; weekly updates continuous; briefs executed/queued; programmatic pages indexed; internal links expanded; outreach learnings + next cycle; runbooks + Looms complete; “Day-0/7/30” playbook for the launch window.
Acceptance tests include: events firing & dashboards loading cleanly; ≥6 briefs + 6 programmatic pages live and indexed; P0 tech issues addressed or scheduled; complete runbooks/Looms enabling a new contributor; uninterrupted weekly updates (≥4 weeks).
Tools You’ll Use
GA4, GSC, GTM, Looker Studio, Screaming Frog (or equivalent), site CMS, GitHub/issues, and simple runbooks/Looms.
What We’re Looking For
• Strong grasp of technical SEO (indexation, canonicals, schema.org, CWV) and analytics wiring (GA4 tags, GTM data layer, events/conversions).
• Evidence of programmatic SEO and internal-linking systems; comfort publishing structured pages from a template.
• Portfolio: dashboards, audits→tickets with acceptance tests, briefs→published pages, or small case studies.
• Clear writing, crisp checklists, reliable weekly updates.
Nice-to-have: lightweight CI checks for sitemaps/robots/meta, Looker Studio blending, basic HTML/JSON-LD.
Hours, Workflow, and Management
• 10–25 hours/week (contractor sets methods/timing); async in GitHub/issues + short weekly update in Notes/Logs; ad-hoc Looms; monthly review with CEO.
• BYOD with standard security (device encryption, MFA, auto-updates, basic AV/firewall).
Work Authorization & Classification
• 1099 independent-contractor engagement (not W-2 employment).
• Candidates must be authorized to perform 1099 contract work in the U.S.
How to Apply
Please submit:
1. Resume or brief portfolio (links welcome).
1. 1–2 work samples (e.g., a Looker Studio dashboard, a tech SEO audit snapshot with acceptance tests, or a programmatic page template).
1. In 4–6 sentences: a mini plan for turning a /use-cases/ template into 6 indexed pages in 30–45 days (what you’d instrument, how you’d validate, and one quick internal-linking tactic).
Optional: a Loom (≤3 min) walking through one dashboard or audit you shipped.
Selection Process
Portfolio review → short call → paid trial ticket (2–4 hrs, scoped) → offer (IC Agreement + PIIA + equity docs).
EEO & Accessibility
We’re an equal opportunity organization. If you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the application, email hello@okny.io.
