Crossing Hurdles is a recruitment firm. We refer top candidates to our partners working with the world’s leading AI research labs to help build and train cutting-edge AI models. Position: Data Science Expert Type: Hourly Contract Compensation: $60–$120/hour (based on experience) Location: Remote Duration: 1–2 months (with possible extension) Commitment: Part-time 15–25 hrs/week (flexible up to 40 hrs/week) Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided) • Review and refine AI-generated prompts, responses, and code for clarity and accuracy. • Validate technical concepts and ensure correctness across data science workflows. • Provide structured feedback on solution quality, reasoning, and implementation. • Tag, categorize, and organize content by topic and difficulty level. • Support benchmarking and evaluation processes to assess AI model performance. • Collaborate with researchers and other SMEs to improve training datasets. Requirements • Strong professional experience in data science, machine learning, or applied statistics (industry or research). • Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related quantitative field (Bachelor’s minimum; advanced degree preferred). • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with R, Java, or Scala is a plus. • Hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning models with frameworks like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. • Solid background in statistical analysis, data wrangling, and feature engineering with large datasets. • Ability to work independently and asynchronously in a fast-paced research environment.
