Role description
Job OverviewAs a Cloud Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our cloud computing initiatives, driving innovation and efficiency in our IT infrastructure. Youβll design and implement scalable cloud solutions that empower our teams and enhance our services. Your expertise in various cloud platforms and technologies will be essential as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust applications and services that meet the evolving needs of our organization.
What youβll do
Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure.
Implement service-oriented architecture principles to create efficient web services and applications.
Manage virtualization technologies including VMware, OpenStack, and Docker to optimize resource utilization.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible for automated deployment processes.
Ensure system hardening and security best practices are followed across all cloud environments.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and other DevOps tools.
Monitor cloud performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of services.
Stay updated on emerging technologies in cloud computing, microservices architecture, and Internet of Things (IoT).
Basic qualifications
Strong understanding of operating systems (Linux/Windows) and networking concepts including VPNs and APIs.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go for application development.
Familiarity with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle for data management solutions.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes for managing microservices architectures.
Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile practices.
Expertise in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash for automation tasks.
