Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled AWS Database Developer to join our team and contribute to building automation pipelines and database solutions that support AI-driven applications. This role requires a balanced expertise in cloud automation (50%) and AWS databases (50%). You will play a key role in developing scalable, automated workflows that improve the accuracy and effectiveness of AI models.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and pipelines using Python, AWS Cloud Formation, Lambda, and GitHub.
β’ Manage and optimize AWS database solutions, with a strong focus on RDS and Redshift, and hands-on exposure to DynamoDB.
β’ Build scalable, automated data workflows that feed structured and unstructured data into AI/ML pipelines.
β’ Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and cost optimization of AWS databases.
β’ Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to ensure data pipelines meet accuracy and efficiency needs.
β’ Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for databases and automation pipelines.
β’ Apply AWS best practices for security, compliance, and governance across automation and database environments.
Required Skills & Experience
β’ Automation (50%)
β’ Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data processing.
β’ Strong experience with AWS Cloud Formation for infrastructure-as-code.
β’ Expertise in AWS Lambda for event-driven automation.
β’ Hands-on experience with GitHub (CI/CD pipelines).
β’ AWS Databases (50%)
β’ Strong experience in Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Aurora).
β’ Expertise in Amazon Redshift for data warehousing.
β’ Working knowledge of Amazon DynamoDB (nice to have).
β’ Experience with data modeling, schema design, and query optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience building data pipelines for AI/ML workloads.
β’ Knowledge of ETL frameworks, data transformation, and orchestration tools.
β’ Familiarity with AWS Glue, Step Functions, or Kinesis.
β’ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in cloud environments.
