Role description
This opportunity is based onsite in Downtown Phoenix, AZ, supporting a major state government initiative focused on modernizing large-scale cloud infrastructure and applications. This is a long-term contract-to-hire position working exclusively within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The environment youβll be joining runs critical applications that support millions of users statewide β all built on .NET and Azure-based platforms.

Contract Duration: 12 - 24 Months
Required Skills & Experience
β’ 4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS)
β’ Deep understanding of Azure DevOps (pipelines, builds, releases, repos, permissions)
β’ Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration
β’ Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform)
β’ Strong knowledge of App Services, App Config, Key Vault, Virtual Machines, and Service Principals
β’ Familiarity with .NET Core / .NET Framework application deployment in Azure environments
β’ Ability to troubleshoot pipeline failures, agent issues, and build dependencies
Desired Skills & Experience
β’ Migration experience from TFVC to Git-based repositories
β’ Understanding of Azure security best practices and DevSecOps principles
β’ Experience supporting enterprise-level cloud modernization or government projects
β’ Knowledge of YAML pipelines, NuGet package management, and CI/CD automation
β’ Exposure to Azure networking concepts (VNets, NSGs, load balancers, etc.)
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills with development teams
