Backend Engineer - Data Platform [82269]

We’re partnering with our client, a leading data-driven company, to find a talented Backend Data Platform Engineer. This role is based remotely and is a temporary position supporting a team dedicated to building scalable backend systems for high-volume data processing and AI integration. Backend Data Platform Engineer Responsibilities: • Develop and sustain backend services for critical data applications. • Design and incorporate AI features to improve data quality and observability. • Create new tools that promote best practices for AI development across the organization. • Build infrastructure that democratizes data access and enhances usage throughout the company. • Collaborate with teammates, stakeholders, and leaders to scale systems and improve reliability. Backend Data Platform Engineer Qualifications: • 3-5 years of experience as a backend engineer, especially with large-scale data pipelines or platform engineering. • Proficiency in Java or similar object-oriented programming languages, with solid understanding of systems design and data structures. • Ability to interpret user workflows and develop tools to improve data quality and reliability. • Experience working directly with stakeholders, including writing technical documentation and designing API contracts. • Strong commitment to code quality, testing, and maintainability, with a proactive approach to ownership and problem-solving.
