Weβre partnering with our client, a leading data-driven company, to find a talented Backend Data Platform Engineer. This role is based remotely and is a temporary position supporting a team dedicated to building scalable backend systems for high-volume data processing and AI integration.
Backend Data Platform Engineer Responsibilities:
β’ Develop and sustain backend services for critical data applications.
β’ Design and incorporate AI features to improve data quality and observability.
β’ Create new tools that promote best practices for AI development across the organization.
β’ Build infrastructure that democratizes data access and enhances usage throughout the company.
β’ Collaborate with teammates, stakeholders, and leaders to scale systems and improve reliability.
Backend Data Platform Engineer Qualifications:
β’ 3-5 years of experience as a backend engineer, especially with large-scale data pipelines or platform engineering.
β’ Proficiency in Java or similar object-oriented programming languages, with solid understanding of systems design and data structures.
β’ Ability to interpret user workflows and develop tools to improve data quality and reliability.
β’ Experience working directly with stakeholders, including writing technical documentation and designing API contracts.
β’ Strong commitment to code quality, testing, and maintainability, with a proactive approach to ownership and problem-solving.
