Familiarity with pensions data is highly desirable, as you will be expected to handle sensitive and regulated information with precision and compliance.
A key objective of this role is to lead the transition of reporting solutions into an end-user ownership model. This will involve designing intuitive, self-service analytics tools, providing documentation and training, and empowering business users to independently explore and interpret data.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of data governance, ETL processes, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that solutions are not only technically robust but also sustainable and user-friendly.

β’ Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data visualisations.
β’ Build and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support reporting needs.
β’ Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, and cloud-based platforms.
β’ Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all reporting solutions.
β’ Support the development and maintenance of semantic data models and DAX measures.
β’ Participate in the attestation and governance processes as outlined in the Power BI Framework and Software Development Policy.
β’ Provide training and support to business users to effectively hand over the Power BI solutions for ongoing user ownership & management.
β’ Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure reporting solutions meet requirements.
β’ Engage with report consumers to assess and define the best approach to build value-added reports.
β’ Produce the reporting solution in line with a consumer ownership model to enable stakeholder handover for ongoing management.
