BI Analyst / Power BI Developer (Mid–Senior Level) Location: Remote Duration: 6 Months+ W2 Only, Ssponsorship not available, No 3rd parties Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled BI Analyst / Power BI Developer to design, develop, test, and support enterprise reporting and analytics solutions within the Microsoft Power BI ecosystem. This role is ideal for a self-sufficient professional who can independently deliver high-quality reporting solutions with minimal documentation or oversight. The ideal candidate has strong experience building Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and Power BI Apps while also participating in testing, validation, troubleshooting, and deployment activities. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and visual analytics solutions • Create and support paginated reports for operational and executive reporting requirements • Develop and manage Power BI Apps for business stakeholders and enterprise users • Perform both development and testing activities, including validation of report accuracy, functionality, and performance • Work independently to gather requirements and deliver solutions with limited documentation or guidance • Translate business requirements into scalable reporting and visualization solutions • Troubleshoot reporting issues, data inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks • Collaborate with business users, Data Engineers, and BI Engineers to support analytics initiatives • Ensure reporting solutions follow governance, security, and data quality standards • Optimize dashboards and reports for usability, scalability, and performance • Document key technical and business logic where appropriate • Support deployment, user acceptance testing, and production releases Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or Power BI development • Strong hands-on experience with: • Power BI dashboards • Paginated reports • Power BI Apps • Experience performing both development and testing responsibilities • Ability to work independently and deliver solutions with little or no documentation • Strong proficiency with DAX, Power Query, and SQL • Experience troubleshooting and optimizing Power BI performance • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Power BI semantic models and datasets • Familiarity with dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts • Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure analytics platforms • Knowledge of Power BI governance, deployment pipelines, and row-level security • Microsoft Power BI certifications are a plus • Experience in financial services, private equity, or enterprise operations environments Feliza LaClare Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager iSpace, Inc.
