Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and the business by translating business needs into technical specifications. This position requires a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the ability to analyse data effectively to support decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
Analyse data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decisions.
Develop and maintain project documentation throughout the SDLC.
Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment on project goals.
Utilise SQL for data extraction and manipulation to support analysis efforts.
Create visual reports using tools such as Power BI to present findings to stakeholders.
Assist in database design and maintenance to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
Employ programming languages such as R and VBA for advanced data analysis tasks.
Provide project management support by tracking progress, managing timelines, and ensuring deliverables are met.
Skills
Proficient in SQL for database querying and management.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.
Experience in project management methodologies to oversee projects effectively.
Knowledge of database design concepts and best practices.
Proficiency in Power BI for data visualisation and reporting.
Experience with R for statistical analysis is advantageous.
Familiarity with Bash Unix shell scripting is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
