Electronic Trading – Senior Business Analyst A leading global investment bank is running a greenfield project to enhance its electronic trading offering within Fixed Income. Working closely with the trading business across London and Spain, the team is delivering on a multi-year strategy to build a new eTrading system to replace an existing vendor platform. The initiative has strong sponsorship at senior levels within the business. Role Description As a Senior Business Analyst, you will ensure delivery of a high-quality solution that meets business needs—both functionally and from a technical workflow perspective. You will apply industry best practices to document and communicate requirements clearly to technical teams as well as to non-technical stakeholders. A solid understanding of agile methodologies is key, including structuring requirements into epics, user stories, and tasks that can be delivered in sprints. Working closely with stakeholders to refine and break down larger requirements into manageable stories is central to the project’s success. We are seeking candidates with deep expertise in Fixed Income electronic trading and a strong track record as a senior BA within front-office development teams. Key Responsibilities • Partner with business sponsors to gather and refine requirements to meet project milestones. • Document requirements in Jira, organising them into epics, user stories, and tasks. • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure successful delivery of features. • Perform UAT testing for new functionality. • Work with partner technology teams to ensure effective collaboration. • Potential to line-manage developers, DevOps, and QA resources, as well as coordinate hiring and onboarding of new team members. Skills & Experience Essential: • Expert-level product knowledge of rates and credit products. • Detailed understanding of rate product pricing valuations and metrics. • Proven hands-on experience as a Business Analyst within a front-office investment banking development team. Desirable: • Experience working in an agile development environment. • Experience managing IT projects. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or substantial practical experience delivering software at an advanced level.
