Role description
Job Title: Business Analyst (C. Advanced)
Location: Tallahassee, FL 32399 (Onsite)
Duration: Long-term contract
Education
β’ Bachelorβs or Masterβs Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, or another related field is required. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
Experience
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT product development, engineering, or project delivery is required.
1. Experience in the configuration, implementation, or integration with AASHTOWare suite is preferred.
1. At least 5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams through complex product or technology solution delivery in a high-tech or government environment.
1. Experience coordinating software or system integration activities and ensuring post-deployment support and readiness.
1. Familiarity with agile and iterative delivery methods, backlog grooming, and sprint planning is preferred.
1. Experience working with government procurement and IT project governance (especially Rules 60GG-1 β 60GG-5, Florida Administrative Code) is desirable.
1. Strong communication and presentation experience, especially in conveying product functionality, performance metrics, and delivery progress to business owners and leadership.
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required. Experience with SharePoint 365, ServiceNow, and collaborative product planning tools is highly desired. Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft DevOps is highly desired.
Primary Job Duties / Tasks
The activities the candidate will be tasked with include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Support the delivery of software-based products and system enhancements by contributing throughout the full lifecycle, from planning through implementation and stabilization.
1. Facilitate collaboration among business users, technical development teams, product owners, and enterprise architecture to ensure product solutions align with functional needs and technical standards.
1. Assist in the development and maintenance of product roadmaps and release schedules, including coordination of upgrade timelines, enhancement priorities, and project delivery milestones to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
1. Translate business requirements into actionable development tasks, clarifying scope and acceptance criteria, and monitor progress through each stage of the development cycle to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
1. Serve as a liaison with end users and product partners, addressing questions related to integrations, custom development needs, issue resolution, and considerations for post-deployment support and sustainability.
1. Support solution evaluation activities, including prototyping, technical feasibility reviews, user validation, and testing efforts to confirm functionality, performance, and readiness for production release.
