Position Title: Business Analyst/Scrum Master
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Duration: 5-6 months of contract with possible of contract to extend/hire
Job Description:
Client is looking for a well-experienced Technical Business Analyst who has worked in a large-scale integration program. This is a Chicago-based onsite position with a long-term opportunity. Client also values Scrum Master experience to facilitate key Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, maintain transparency through metrics, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This role requires strong collaboration skills to coordinate across teams, time zones, and business functions, ensuring alignment toward common goals.
Responsibilities
Technical Business Analyst - Primary
· Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
· Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for development and QA teams
· Build and maintain dashboards using Dynatrace, QM, and Kibana logs to monitor performance, identify issues, and track KPIs
· Perform root cause analysis leveraging logs and monitoring tools, providing actionable insights
· Support system integration activities, validating data flows and cross-application dependencies
· Partner with Product Owners during PI planning sessions and backlog refinement
· Translate complex technical data into clear, business-friendly insights and recommendations
· Ensure requirements traceability from definition through testing and delivery
· Collaborate with architects, developers, and testers to align solutions with business objectives
· Leverage AWS environment experience for troubleshooting, monitoring, and solution validation
Scrum Master - Secondary
· Facilitate essential Agile ceremonies when required (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives)
· Remove minor impediments to enable efficient delivery
· Promote transparency and visibility through Agile metrics and dashboards
· Encourage collaboration and communication across distributed teams
· Support Product Owners with backlog prioritization and refinement
· Provide light coaching on Agile practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
· 6+ years of Tech BA & SM experience with stronger emphasis on Technical BA skills
· Technical degree or equivalent professional experience
· Strong background in analytics, systems development, and dashboard creation
· Hands-on experience with Dynatrace, QM, Kibana logs in an AWS environment
· Proficiency in JIRA and Agile tools
· Knowledge of SAFe and Scrum frameworks
· Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
· Local to Chicago preferred (close collaboration with product owners and PI planning
